Following a breakout music career, Chappell Roan took home her first ever Grammy Award at Sunday’s ceremony in her first year as a nominee.
The 26-year-old pop star was one of two artists to be nominated in all four major categories at the 67th Grammy Awards alongside Sabrina Carpenter. The nominations stemmed from her critically acclaimed debut album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” and her hit song “Good Luck, Babe!,” which peaked No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The ceremony marked the southern Missouri singer’s first Grammy nominations. During the show, Roan took on the stage, performing “Pink Pony Club.”
Earlier this week, the artist shared some of her sentimental thoughts ahead of the Grammys on Instagram, where she thanked fans for their ongoing support.
“It’s Grammy week. I am very emo. My heart feels warm and fuzzy with all the support I have been given this past year. I hope you can understand that this has been incredible and scary and spiritual and confusing,” she wrote in the Wednesday post. “I’ve been crying tears of joy and grief and feeling loved and lonely and free.”
