Alas, the chairman of the Tortured Poets Department went home empty-handed.

Taylor Swift stunned on the Grammys red carpet wearing a custom Vivienne Westwood gown. Her beaded red “T” chain hovered over her upper thigh setting the social media world on fire.

While many Swifties hoped the singer-songwriter would walk away with some golden hardware, she didn’t win any of her six categories: album of the year, best pop album, record of the year, song of the year, best pop duo/group performance and best music video.

From a numbers standpoint, Swift’s 11th era album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” dominated the other creative works up for album of the year. The singer topped the charts for 17 weeks and became the first artist to rack up a billion streams on Spotify in five days.

Swift lost album of the year to Beyoncé, song of the year to Kendrick Lamar, record of the year to Kendrick Lamar, best pop duo/group performance to Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, best pop vocal album to Sabrina Carpenter and best music video to Kendrick Lamar.

Presenting country album of the year

The Eras Tour singer did get some stage time earlier in the broadcast, presenting best country album to Beyoncé for “Cowboy Carter,” an accolade Swift won in 2010.

“Hi, they say you never forget where you came from and I will never forget standing here, right on this spot, almost exactly 15 years ago accepting the Grammy Award for best country album,” Swift said. “It’s an honor that has gone to artists that I admire so much like the Chicks, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, George Strait, Faith Hill, Vince Gill, Alison Krauss and Shania Twain.”

Swift didn’t seem too upset about her night, however. In the final moments of the broadcast she was shown clinking glasses with Jay-Z as his wife, Beyoncé, accepted the night’s top honor, album of the year, for the first time.

Beyoncé accepts the Best Country Album award for “Cowboy Carter” from Taylor Swift onstage during the 67th GRAMMY Awards at Crypto.com Arena on February 2, 2025 in Los Angeles, California.
